The race itself involves a prize of $10,000 which is nailed to a tree. It can take between three days and two months to complete through seven hundred and fifty miles of wildest British Columbia to reach the finish line in Alaska. The racers finishing second get a cheap set of steak knives and those afterwards nothing. There’s no rules, no handicaps or categories, just raw courage and bad luck along the way…
